Note from Jessica: It is my desire to share yoga with everyone so that they may lead a more joyful, calm, and mindful life.
Jessica is the mother of two cats, two dogs, and a lizard. She is originally from Orlando, Florida, but she has been living in Virginia for the past 21 years. She graduated from Briar Woods in 2011 with her cosmetology license and went to work as a hairdresser for 6 years at Bubbles. During those six years, she always knew that hair wasn’t her last calling; it just took a while to discover it was Yoga. In 2013, she began her yoga journey, and after 3 years Jessica knew she wanted to share this wonderful practice with the world. She started her RYT 200 hr teacher training in 2015. Since then she have taken multiple workshops covering backbends, healthy hips, inversions, arm balances, and assists. During this time Jessica has also taken classes at NOVA such as Human anatomy and physiology, and intro to medical terminology. She loves learning about the human body and its movements, and plans to continue her education to become a Yoga Therapist! She firmly believes that a consistent yoga practice, both on and off the mat, will lead to a healthy and happy lifestyle, where we are not afraid of making deeper connections with ourselves and one another and will unlock liberating capacities both physically and mentally otherwise condemned to frustration and irritation. Jessica's main goal is to continue this journey that is yoga and along the way share it with as many people as I possibly can.
