Holly is the Lead Therapist. She pulls from the West, the East, a rich history, and deep education to assess acute injury, chronic pain, and dysfunction. She uses everything in her arsenal to help reduce pain and increase function. Holly is also a Yoga teacher and uses yoga based movement as well as functional movement in her Athletic Recover, /Restorative, and Core Classes. She also teaches a variety of Yoga classes.

3DMAPS (Movement Analysis & Performance System) is the ultimate movement assessment designed for individuals looking to improve athletic performance or those just wanting to move and function better.
The assessment is designed to assess each and every joint in all three planes of motion across the spectrum of mobility and stability. True function and sports rarely involve motion in a straight line, but rather a combination of many different actions occurring three dimensionally.
With injury occurring at tissue or structure overload, it's important to assess where any dysfunction in someone's biomechanics may be before it's too late.
Upon completion an individual receives a relative success code letting them know the planes and joint combinations where they have the most control and then the others where they may be less successful. A detailed report is then given along with recommendations for exercise tweaks and a program designed around improving the less successful movements while leveraging the already strong motions.
If you or someone you know wants to perform BETTER, LONGER, and STRONGER then come get assessed!
This is an assessment of biomechanics for the baseball or softball pitcher to increase mobility in the ankles, knees, hips, and shoulders, as well as reduce injuries, including but not limited to Tommy Johns, tendonitis, and overuse.
When assessing a particular sport or activity it starts with analyzing the transformation zones. These particular areas are a combination of joints and muscles at specific points of time during the movement. For example, an athlete would need to be analyzed at the top of the movement, at impact, and at follow through. Any limitation or overuse of specific sets of joints and muscles can contribute to pain, power leaks, or potential future pain cycles. Optimizing sport performance starts with making sure the correct joint motions are occurring so the muscles are being properly loaded. This allows them to act as stabilizers for a powerful explode and to also decelerate before extreme motions occur that cannot be controlled. During in person execution, MpowerD's Movement Specialist, Joe, records slow motion footage to break down each of these transformational zones and provide this analysis. Further testing is done with various pieces from the 3DMAPS screen and hands on analysis (Functional Manual Reaction). In person execution of the movement can be substituted with game film or recordings you may have already as well. Upon completion you receive an analysis of the transformation zones and a home work program based on the results.
Golf Swing Analysis
You will receive a 3DMAPS assessment from Joe, and the biomechanics golf swing assessment! This includes a 60M assessment for $150, access to online workouts or movements specifically chosen for you.
The first thing involved with understanding more about your own body is getting properly screened.
To start the screen we assess the task itself. Slow motion video of the golf swing provides valuable info that can be instantly investigated further. Key areas that are being investigated are the thoracic spine, hips, and foot/ankle complex. How these three interact with each other is crucial to a consistent and explosive golf swing. If one or more is compromised then other areas of the body and swing are at risk.
This can lead to things like:
Swing characteristics of sliding, swaying, early extension, casting, over the top, reverse spine angle, c-posture, s-posture, flat shoulder plane, lunging, hanging back, chicken winging, and scooping.
Pain in one or more areas of the body during or after playing
Power leaks with the swing
Inconsistent ball striking
Once the swing has been analyzed an isolated assessment of the three segments is conducted. The purpose here is to determine if they contain the proper mobility and stability necessary to accomplish a biomechanically correct golf swing.
Each and every body is different so it's important that you are learning to swing in a manner that is efficient to how your body moves. Upon completion of the screen you will be provided with a detailed report of the results and recommendations to be shared with your favorite MpowerD therapist to help take your game even further!
